How would you like to take a pottery class, workshop or
inservice at a facility that has access to every tool, clay,
piece of equipment, clay artist and teacher?
The Clay Lady's Studio~The Educational Facility located at Mid-South Ceramic Supply Co. in Nashville, TN is a 3,000 square foot studio designed to meet all facets of clay creativity. Offering classes in low-fire, mid-fire and C/10 gas fire, we have 3 separate studios dedicated to pottery, hand-building, and sculpting. The studio holds 16 wheels, 7 kilns, a full size slab roller, extruder and the full array of Opulence Glazes as well as tools and supplies for any clay endeavor.
The Clay Lady's studio offers four sessions per year of day and night classes for adults (See One-Day Workshops and The Artist Co-op Events list for opportunities for ages under 16). If you can't make an on-going class, we also offer One-Day Workshops for skills building and enhanced technique. All classes are taught by nationally known, professional clay artists. The Clay Lady's Artist Co-op is a 10,000 square foot facility providing emerging and professional artists private studio space and gallery opportunities in a mentoring, supportive and educational environment next to a courtyard with waterfalls across from The Clay Lady's Studio. A true self-sustaining Co-operative, all artists can discount their membership fee with Co-opportunity Work. Not only for artists in residence, The Artist Co-op membership is open to all artists that want to belong to a community for fellowship and professional development. The Galleries include art from emerging to professional artists. A full spectrum of art as well as price. Come visit The Co-op Artists at work in their studios and then visit all three galleries to purchase their finished work. Throughout the year, we host many openings and events. Please ask to be on our email list to receive invitations and special offers.
